Some of the latest goings-on and what-have-you in what I do. I don't put an update here every time there's a new piece in my portfolio; feel free to browse the galleries, as the newest stuff is always up front.

I've been skimpy on updates, which usually means I've just been busy. Aside from a few show-type deals I worked in last year, and a new course I wrote for Sessions (where I teach programming and design), the real news is that my novel Lovely Assistant is up on Amazon.com, and the site is completed and live. Time to start stockpiling copies! No, not me. You. I don't make any money if I buy them.

In some pretty awesome major news for me, the manuscript for my novel Lovely Assistant is finished. Done. Written. Ready. Uh...yeah. As of last night.
There's a very cool movie called D.O.A., where Dennis Quaid (as a bitter writing professor) explains to the man who killed him (he's not dead yet — that's part of the coolness of the movie) that the incredible feeling of writing a novel isn't what you get when you have it published, or when you see it printed and bound, or when you're doing book-signings with adoring fans. It comes from doing the work. Let me tell you, doing the work on this one was simply outstanding.
Though finishing it has got me a bit giddy, too. There was dancing involved.
Obviously, since I'm me, my next step (aside from editing and getting in touch with a few agents and/or publishers) will be getting a website up. I'll be linking to it when it's done, and in the meantime, any industry types are welcome to read the second chapter on this site, or get in touch with me for more.

After a slight delay somewhere (I'm just an actor, they don't fill me in on this stuff), the podcast of The Time Travelers Convention just dropped big time! It's up and playing over on YouTube. It's keen! Cool cartoon art accompanying each scene and some excellent tunes to keep you coming back for the next episode. You can follow the whole deal on Facebook, just like you can follow the secret lives of all of your least intimate friends. And no, I didn't actually have a beard on when I recorded it, but I was so emoting "beard" with my voice. I'm glad artist Lisa Sindorf totally heard it.
